Radon services and certifications are regulated in the state of Nebraska. If you intend to conduct your radon business here it is recommended that you contact the state radon contact to make sure you are complying with the state requirements.

Take the Nebraska-approved entry level course(s).  Approved providers found here: https://dhhs.ne.gov/Pages/Radon-Trainers.aspx

Pass the NRPP or NRSB exam(s).

Apply for individual licensure.  Depending on the discipline, there are also education/experience requirements noted on the application.

Note:  cannot practice in the state of Nebraska without also obtaining a business license.

Once a person holds an individual license, it expires on March 31 of every odd numbered year and must be renewed.  As a part of this renewal, they must meet CE requirements.  They are required to have six hours of approved courses for either radon measurement or mitigation licenses, however, if a licensee carries both radon measurement and mitigation licenses, they are only required to take 11 total CE hours.
