There is approximately 16 hours of coursework, including audio, video, publications, and quizzes that are taken as you progress through the course (not timed and may be taken unlimited times).  There is no time limit for taking the course, and even after completion you continue to have access to the course in order to refer back to resources.

CERTI students also have access to business tools such as sample contracts, and warranties.  We are also available by phone during and after the course for any questions concerning the course or radon situations you come across on the job.

Shawn’s presentation was informative and well targeted to an audience that sometimes doesn’t have a high technical or scientific knowledge to work from. He should work on crafting his answers to fairly technical questions as simple as possible, but consistent with scientific and/or technical fundamentals. This is not always easy to do, but if one can anticipate some of the questions, one can be better prepared to answer them. The endorsement to Air-Check I felt was bit overdone, even though it may be a very good test kit and provided with the illustrations needed to provide real-world examples of radon survey practices.

    This course is complicated. I do radon testing on single family homes in real estate transactions. I will not be trying to get into the large building/apartment/school testing business. There is too much liablity, and the money would not be worth it. I am glad I took the course, because it let me know that I am not interested in doing that type of testing.

ANSI/AARST Measurement Standard Review

As of 2023, the National Radon Proficiency Program amended its policy regarding the renewal of its base radon measurement and mitigation certifications to require a four-hour review of the ANSI/AARST standards relevant to a specific certification.
