The video instruction is supplemented with a Course Manual and with many extra supplemental resources which includes audio interviews with experts within the radon industry. This course is designed to provide you with all the instruction you need for becoming certified as well as valuable practical advice and resources for managing your radon business. With an impressive 92% passing rate on the certification exams, these courses have proven to be successful and popular in preparing students for the certification exam and for conducting business.

There are approximately 16 hours of coursework, including watching videos; online resources such as protocols, and publications; and quizzes that are taken as you progress through the course (not timed and may be taken unlimited times). There is no time limit for taking the course, and even after completion you continue to have access to the course in order to refer back to resources.

    I will soon take the exam so it is difficult to rate the relevance of the course until then.  However, as a home inspector that virtually MUST also perform radon measurements, I feel I have been forced to learn an advanced depth of information about the chemistry/formulas of the element of radon that are irrelevant to someone who sets a continuous device in a residence and returns to retrieve that data.  I feel that learning the basics such as what radon is, how it gets into homes, the proper procedure in device placement and also learning mitigation techniques is what we should know.  Leave the chemistry to the scientists.  We pay a large amount of money to purchase and calibrate equipment that has already been created to perform the testing.  I see no need to go into such advanced depth about the element.  Hopefully the final exam is geared toward placement and basics of radon and not the science of it (alpha/beta/gamma/etc.)
